Strengthening Internationalization, Unsrat Studies Academic Cooperation Schemes at UPNVJ

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) received a visit from Universitas Sam Ratulangi (Unsrat) on Friday, 6 February 2026. The activity took place at the Nusantara 1 Meeting Room, UPNVJ, and aimed to broaden insights, strengthen academic discussions, and introduce the learning system as well as various supporting activities for the development of student competencies.

The delegation from Universitas Sam Ratulangi was welcomed by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Information Systems of UPNVJ, Dr. dr. Ria Maria Therese, Sp.KJ., M.H., along with representatives from the Cooperation Office, the Head of the Student Affairs Working Team, the Academic Office, the Head of the Center for Learning Development of the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance (LPMPP) UPNVJ, the Head of the ICT Service Unit (UPA TIK), and other related units.

During the meeting, both universities discussed learning systems, the management of student activities, and best practices in supporting student development. The discussion also covered the strengthening of cooperation networks, particularly in support of higher education internationalization programs.

Representatives of Universitas Sam Ratulangi conveyed that they are currently preparing visa arrangements for departure to Wuhu Vocational Technical University, China, as part of a student exchange program. The program is planned to involve 19 students from three faculties, namely the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics and Business. Therefore, the visit to UPNVJ was also utilized to study the mechanisms for course credit conversion and to exchange experiences related to the number and management of international partnerships that UPNVJ has established.

In her remarks, Dr. Ria stated that the visit served as a strategic momentum for mutual learning and strengthening inter-university collaboration.

“UPNVJ is very open to sharing experiences, particularly in relation to the management of international cooperation, course credit conversion, and the strengthening of student exchange programs. We hope that this discussion will provide tangible benefits for both institutions in preparing students who are adaptive, globally competitive, and ready to face international challenges,” she said.

Through this visit, it is expected that sustainable synergy will be established between UPNVJ and Universitas Sam Ratulangi in academic and student development, as well as in the expansion of cooperation networks at both national and international levels.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
