Strategic Collaboration between UPNVJ and IPWIJA Enhances Data-Driven Research and Academic Networking

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Development Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ), held an online audience meeting via Zoom with Universitas IPWIJA to explore the establishment of a strategic partnership. The meeting discussed potential forms of cooperation, including faculty exchange, collaborative scientific publications, joint research, and the organization of public lectures, as part of efforts to strengthen the development of economic scholarship amid the demands of the digital era.

This initiative is expected to open new opportunities for students and faculty members of both institutions by leveraging their geographical proximity to enable more efficient coordination.

The Dean of FEB UPNVJ, Dr. Jubaedah, stated that the audience meeting represents an initial step toward building sustainable academic synergy. “We discussed proposed collaborations such as faculty exchange and joint research, which align with the study program’s focus on entrepreneurship and data-driven planning,” she said. The Coordinator of the Development Economics Study Program at FEB UPNVJ added that the program has strengths in practice-oriented research, making this collaboration relevant for enhancing the quality of scholarly output.

The Head of the Department of Economics at FEB UPNVJ emphasized the strategic value of networking with nearby higher education institutions. “Geographical proximity facilitates implementation while also encouraging mutually beneficial long-term partnerships,” he noted. Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas IPWIJA, Prof. Slamet Ahmadi, M.M., expressed his positive response to the plan, particularly regarding opportunities for teaching exchange and joint research that could enrich the curricula of both institutions.

The meeting concluded with an agreement on follow-up actions, including more detailed discussions on technical implementation at the next agenda. This step is expected to accelerate the realization of the collaboration, supported by shared resources such as UPNVJ’s modern research facilities, which are ready for joint utilization.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
