Edu Asia New,The Highest Title in the State University Category Granted to UBB for Public Information Transparency
The highest distinction in the state university category was awarded to Universitas Bangka Belitung (UBB) through KIP RI Decree Number 11/KEP/KIP/XII/2025, in recognition of UBB’s success in meeting public information transparency standards in accordance with Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Transparency.
This year, UBB ranked 12th out of 54 state universities that qualified as “Informatif.” The award was presented directly by KIP RI Commissioner Syawaludin to the Rector of Universitas Bangka Belitung, Prof. Ibrahim, M.Si., as the Head of the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) at UBB, on Monday (December 15, 2025), at the Birawa Assembly Hall, Hotel Bidakara, Jakarta.
Rector Prof. Ibrahim expressed pride and gratitude to all parties involved in achieving this milestone. He stated that the “Informatif Public Agency” title is the result of the collective efforts of the entire academic community in strengthening the university’s public information service system.
“This ‘Informatif Public Agency’ distinction reflects the consistent and sustainable strengthening of our public information governance. It is the collective work of the entire UBB academic community,” Prof. Ibrahim said.
Furthermore, Prof. Ibrahim emphasized that information transparency is a vital part of state university governance. According to him, transparency and accountability must become a cultural norm in higher education management.
“We are committed to continuously implementing the principles of openness, transparency, and accountability in every aspect of university management,” he added.
On the occasion, the Rector also expressed appreciation to the UBB PPID Executives for their performance and dedication in meeting the public information transparency standards set by KIP RI.
“I highly appreciate the hard work of UBB’s PPID team, which has consistently improved the quality of public information services. This achievement is certainly the result of the commitment and collaboration of all units across UBB,” he concluded. (UBB Public Relations)
