By Edu Asia News Maret 28, 2026

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Faculty of Health Sciences at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to strengthen the development of the Integrity Zone (ZI) as part of its efforts to achieve a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) through bureaucratic reform and the enhancement of public service quality. This commitment is demonstrated through the implementation of sustainable programs involving the entire academic community, which will run through 2026 at the UPNVJ Limo campus in Depok.

The Integrity Zone is a designation granted to work units that demonstrate a strong commitment to establishing governance that is clean, transparent, and accountable. At the Faculty of Health Sciences UPNVJ, this program was officially launched on February 29, 2024, and continues to be reinforced through various stages of implementation, self-evaluation using the Evaluation Worksheet (LKE), and ongoing socialization initiatives.

The development of the Integrity Zone at FIKES UPNVJ involves all elements of the academic community. The Dean and Vice Deans serve as key drivers and role models in fostering a culture of integrity. The Integrity Zone Working Team is responsible for managing six strategic areas of change, while lecturers and administrative staff act as service providers who uphold integrity. Meanwhile, students, cleaning staff, and security personnel serve as service users as well as external monitors to ensure service quality is maintained.

The primary objective of the Integrity Zone development is to transform the work culture within the faculty. This effort is realized through strengthening transparent and accountable university governance, preventing practices of corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN), and increasing public trust through fast, accurate, and professional services.

The implementation of the Integrity Zone at FIKES UPNVJ is carried out through six areas of change. First, change management focuses on shaping an integrity-driven mindset and work culture. Second, organizational structuring is enhanced through the digitalization of service systems via e-office platforms and the standardization of operational procedures. Third, the structuring of human resource management systems ensures transparency in internal transfers and supports employee competency development.

Furthermore, accountability is strengthened by ensuring that each program has clear and measurable performance indicators. Oversight is reinforced through the operation of a Whistleblowing System (WBS) and the control of gratuities. Meanwhile, improvements in public service quality are achieved through service innovations oriented toward user satisfaction.

These Integrity Zone strengthening activities are conducted at the 8th Floor of the Merce Building, UPNVJ Limo, as part of the institution’s commitment to building a modern, service-oriented bureaucratic system.

The Rector of UPN “Veteran” Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, emphasized that the development of the Integrity Zone is a strategic step in promoting the transformation of higher education governance toward excellence and competitiveness. According to him, commitment to integrity and public service forms the fundamental basis for enhancing public trust in higher education institutions. “The Integrity Zone is not merely an administrative program, but a work culture that must be consistently upheld to deliver high-quality and integrity-driven educational services,” he stated.

Through this continuous strengthening, FIKES UPNVJ remains optimistic about achieving the designation of a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and making a tangible contribution to the realization of professional, transparent, and service-oriented higher education governance.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
