EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has opened admissions for its Master’s (S-2) programs through the Independent Selection (SEMA) pathway for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Registration began on 2 April 2026 at 15.00 Western Indonesia Time and will close on 19 May 2026 at 13.00 WIB, conducted entirely online through the official portal at https://pendaftaran.upnvj.ac.id. The opening reaffirms UPNVJ’s commitment as a state university to broadening access to postgraduate education for the wider public.
This year, UPNVJ offers nine master’s programs across multiple faculties. From the economics and business cluster, prospective students may choose the Master of Management with a capacity of 50 students and the Master of Accounting accommodating 25. The social sciences cluster offers the Master of Communication Studies (40), Master of International Relations (15), and Master of Political Science (10). The health sciences cluster, meanwhile, provides the Master of Biomedical Sciences (20), Master of Public Health (20), and Master of Nursing (20), alongside the Master of Law from the Faculty of Law.
The Master of Nursing program in particular features a flexible hybrid learning model built on an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum that prioritises graduate competencies aligned with the needs of the healthcare industry. The program is designed to be completed in just three semesters — a move seen as a direct response to Indonesia’s growing demand for professionally competent, managerially skilled, and evidence-based nursing practitioners.
Beyond the regular pathway, UPNVJ also offers an Outstanding Alumni Scholarship track for eligible UPNVJ graduates, with requirements including on-time study completion and no grade of C on their academic transcripts. The registration fee is set at Rp 750,000, payable through BNI, BSI, BTN, or Bank Mandiri via teller, ATM, or digital banking services.
Selection is conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an interview.
