
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Mechanical Engineering Study Program of the Faculty of Engineering at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) continues to demonstrate its commitment to producing competent graduates who are well prepared to compete in the industrial sector. This was conveyed by the Head of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Fahrudin, in an interview held on Thursday (March 12) at the Faculty of Engineering, UPNVJ.
Fahrudin explained that the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at UPNVJ was established in 1993 and has continued to develop with various strengths, one of which is the competency of its lecturers in accordance with their respective areas of expertise.
“The lecturers in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program possess competencies that align with their respective fields of expertise,” he stated.
He further noted that the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at UPNVJ has four main areas of specialization, namely energy conversion, manufacturing, construction and design, and engineering materials. These four areas serve as the foundation for academic development while also providing students with opportunities to pursue their interests and talents throughout their studies.
In addition to being supported by highly competent teaching staff, the Mechanical Engineering Study Program at UPNVJ has also achieved an “Excellent” accreditation. In terms of facilities and infrastructure, the available laboratories and classrooms are said to meet industry standards, enabling them to optimally support the learning process.
Regarding career prospects, graduates of the UPNVJ Mechanical Engineering Study Program have broad opportunities. The graduate profiles include engineers, managers, technopreneurs, and researchers. Since its establishment in 1993, alumni of this program have contributed to various companies in both the private sector and government institutions.
