UPNVJ Holds an Open Bidding Discussion with Unsil to Promote Transparency and Accountability

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), in collaboration with Universitas Siliwangi (Unsil), held a discussion on the procedures and implementation flow of open bidding for positions during a meeting convened at the conference room of the Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs at UPNVJ on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The discussion involved senior leadership and strategic officials from both universities, aiming to strengthen transparent and accountable human resource governance practices.

This meeting formed part of an initiative to share best practices in the implementation of open selection processes for positions within public universities.

During the session, the Head of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) of UPNVJ, Satria Yudhia, provided a detailed presentation on the mechanisms and stages of the open bidding process implemented at UPNVJ. He explained that the open selection process is conducted systematically, beginning with workforce planning, followed by public announcements, administrative screening, and culminating in competency assessments and evaluation of candidates’ track records.

Satria emphasized that the implementation of open bidding at UPNVJ is not merely intended to comply with regulatory requirements, but also serves as a strategic instrument to identify competent and high-integrity human resources. “This process is designed to ensure that every candidate has equal opportunity and is assessed objectively based on qualifications and leadership capacity,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bureau of Finance and General Affairs at Universitas Siliwangi, Nana Sujana, also shared Unsil’s experience in conducting open bidding within its institution. He noted that Unsil applies the principles of transparency and accountability at every stage of the selection process, involving an independent and competent evaluation team.

The exchange of information between the two institutions was dynamic. Both parties discussed similarities and differences in their approaches to open bidding implementation, including the challenges encountered and strategies to maintain objectivity and credibility throughout the selection process.

In her remarks, the Vice Rector for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs of UPNVJ, Prof. Netty Herawati, highlighted the importance of continuous oversight at every stage of the open bidding process. She expressed hope that the open selection of positions would proceed smoothly and yield the best outcomes for the institution. “We hope that this open bidding process will continue to be well-supervised to produce competent leaders capable of advancing the organization,” she remarked.
