EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has launched a Bachelor’s Program in Business Law under the Faculty of Law. The new program is designed to meet the growing demand for legal professionals who are adaptive to the dynamics of the business world, both at the national and international levels.
The Coordinator of the UPNVJ Bachelor’s Program in Business Law, Rianda Dirkareshza, stated that the curriculum was developed with consideration for industrial developments and the increasingly complex legal needs across various sectors. The program emphasizes mastery of business regulations, civil law, and legal aspects of modern economic activity — not merely in theory, but also in practical application.
“We emphasize specialization in business law tailored to the current needs of industry. The curriculum is designed to remain relevant to an ever-evolving business landscape,” said Rianda when met at the UPNVJ campus on February 13, 2026.
Graduates of the program are prepared to enter a wide range of professions, including internationally minded advocates, intellectual property consultants, corporate legal staff, law enforcement officers, as well as academics and researchers in the field of law.
Rianda noted that business law competency has become a cross-sector necessity. Nearly all institutions — both public and private — require professionals who understand the legal dimensions of economic activity, including corporate governance, the creative industry, and intellectual property rights protection, which are increasingly strategic in an innovation-driven economy.
