EduAsiaNews, Bandung – The Directorate of Student Affairs of Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), in collaboration with CIMB Niaga, organized “Kejar Mimpi Fest 2026 Goes to Campus” at Bale Sawala, Unpad Rectorate Building, Jatinangor Campus, on Friday (September 4, 2026). As part of the 2026 Padjadjaran Young Entrepreneurs (WMP) Program, Batch 2, the event featured practitioners from the business and industry sectors who shared their entrepreneurial experiences and insights with students, while also strengthening their competencies, career readiness, and ability to build businesses while still at university.
“We do not only provide conventional classroom instruction, but also involve practitioners from the business and industry sectors to share insights into how to develop and run a business properly and responsibly in ways that are accepted by society,” said Unpad Director of Student Affairs, Inu Isnaeni Sidiq, Ph.D., in his remarks.
Currently, the Unpad WMP Program has approximately 350 students from various study programs. Through the program, students are encouraged to turn their entrepreneurial ideas and aspirations into reality while preparing themselves to become financially independent individuals from an early stage of their university education.
“Today, you have decided to take this journey with us (Unpad) through WMP. What matters is not the amount of money involved, but how you develop the soft skills you gain through this program,” Inu explained.
Meanwhile, Erna Kartina, Branch Area Head for West Java 3 at CIMB Niaga, said that the event aimed to encourage young people to dare to dream while taking concrete steps toward turning those dreams into reality. She emphasized that developing the younger generation involves not only academic education but also mental development and the cultivation of values acquired throughout their university experience.
“Let’s learn, connect, and take one step closer to making our dreams happen,” said Erna, who is also an Unpad alumna.
The event featured Kejar Mimpi Talks sessions on the themes “Start Up, Start Now: Turning Ideas into Action” and “Smart Stock Investing,” featuring Theo Derick, an entrepreneur, creator, and author, and Trisna L. M. Siahaan, Head of Retail Transaction & Community Business Development at CIMB Niaga.
In addition, the event included Kejar Mimpi Career Hunt & Scholarship, conducted in collaboration with CIMB Niaga’s Human Resources (HR) team.
Also attending the event were Head of the Unpad Center for Career and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr. In-In Hanidah, along with representatives of CIMB Niaga.
