UNJ Women Futsal Team Secures Third Place at the 2026 Student Invitational Championship

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Women’s Futsal Achievement Sports Club (KOP) of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) secured third place in the 2026 Student Invitational Women’s Futsal Championship, a regional-level competition held from July 20–25, 2026, at Pasar Minggu Sports Hall (GOR Pasar Minggu), Jakarta.

The UNJ Women’s Futsal Team delivered a competitive performance throughout the tournament, ultimately finishing in third place. The achievement reflects the results of systematic athlete development, intensive training, and consistent preparation undertaken by the players and coaching staff.

A total of 16 athletes represented KOP Futsal Putri UNJ in the championship. They included Hanipah, from the 2024 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Saza Ainurrohmah, from the 2023 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program; Iqlima Zazkia R, from the 2025 cohort of the Sports Science Study Program; and Azra Zifa Kayla, from the 2022 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program.

The team was also strengthened by Aulia Pricilia, from the 2023 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Angger Septiana, from the 2023 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program; Salma Legistiani Latifah, from the 2022 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Zahra Nafisatul Ilmi, from the 2024 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; and Shally Salsabilah, from the 2024 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program.

The other athletes who contributed to UNJ’s third-place finish were Novia Ramadani, from the 2022 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program; Regine Ajahra Sapa, from the 2025 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Maria Wihelmina Padeng, from the 2025 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Arlince Tuan, from the 2024 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program; Shainna Fathya Suriansyah, from the 2023 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program; Ivanna Aura Yasmin, from the 2023 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program; and Ade Flora Dwi Riyani, from the 2025 cohort of the Sports Coaching Study Program.

Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences (FIKK) UNJ, Prof. Nofi Marlina Siregar, expressed her appreciation for the athletes’ efforts in representing UNJ at the regional competition. She noted that students’ participation in sporting competitions serves not only as a means of measuring their abilities but also as an important part of athlete development and character building.

“This achievement is the result of the athletes’ hard work, discipline, and team spirit. We appreciate the efforts of the UNJ Women’s Futsal Team and hope this achievement will motivate them to continuously improve the quality of their training and pursue even greater accomplishments in future competitions,” said Prof. Nofi.

Throughout the competition, the KOP Futsal Putri UNJ athletes demonstrated strong technical skills, physical fitness, and competitive mentality. They also maintained sportsmanship, discipline, and team cohesion in every match.

The third-place finish at the 2026 Student Invitational Women’s Futsal Championship forms part of UNJ and FIKK’s efforts to strengthen the development of competitive sports within the university. The achievement is expected to provide valuable experience for the athletes as they continue to improve their abilities and prepare for competitions at higher levels.
