EduAsiaNews, Jogyakarta – This year marks the third consecutive time that the Public Relations Office of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) has participated in the Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI), organized by Humas Indonesia. Meanwhile, 2024 is the sixth edition of AHI overall.

AHI is a competitive platform that assesses communication performance and public information transparency across public institutions in ministries, government agencies, local governments, state universities, state-owned enterprises (BUMN), subsidiaries of BUMN, regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), and public service agencies (BLU) throughout Indonesia. The 2024 AHI serves as a benchmark for the highest achievement in public relations performance for the period of August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2024.

Tracing UNJ’s achievements in previous AHI events: in 2022, UNJ won two Bronze Awards in the Public Information Service category (sub-category: Public Information Service Report), Internal Media, and Profile Video. In 2023, UNJ earned three Bronze Awards in the categories of Best Information and Documentation Officer (PPID) sub-category PPID, Most Innovative Public Information Service sub-category Public Information Service Report, and Most Innovative Public Information Service sub-category Public Information Service Room.

For 2024, the Public Relations and Public Information Office led by Dr. Nugrahaeni, supported by Wina Puspita Sari, M.Si., and Dr. Wiratri Anindhita, successfully won the Silver Award in the Most Innovative Public Information Service category, sub-category Public Information Service Room.

The 2024 AHI carried the theme “Professionalism of Public Relations for a Golden Indonesia”, with the award ceremony held at The Rich Jogja Hotel, Yogyakarta. Dr. Nugrahaeni personally attended and received the award, expressing gratitude and pride. She emphasized that this achievement is the result of collaborative effort, hard work from the entire team, and full support from the Rector and UNJ leadership in fostering a unified and high-performing Public Relations office.

Meanwhile, Wina Puspita Sari, M.Si., Head of Coverage and Reporting Division, extended congratulations and thanks to the UNJ Public Relations team for their tireless work, continuous innovation, and commitment to excellence. She emphasized that this recognition demonstrates that UNJ’s efforts to enhance communication quality and public information services have been nationally acknowledged. She added that this achievement is not just for the PR team but for the entire UNJ academic community, reflecting dedication, commitment, and a strong work ethic in building the university’s image and reputation. She hopes this award motivates the team to maintain and further improve performance, consistently innovate, and develop communication strategies relevant to the digital era.

Dr. Wiratri Anindhita, Head of Public Services and Information Division, added that this year’s award serves as a gateway for future recognitions. “This is my first year in PR, working with such an extraordinary leadership team and office staff. This award belongs not only to UNJ PR but to the university as a whole, thanks to the unwavering support and guidance from university leaders.”

Finally, Prof. Fahrurrozi, Vice Rector of Planning and Cooperation at UNJ, who oversees the Public Relations and Public Information Office, stated that this is the first time UNJ PR has received a Silver Award at AHI after two years of participation. He noted that this achievement demonstrates that PR’s role as a bridge between the institution and the public is on track, and expressed his hope that the performance will continue to improve with full support from university leadership.
