Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta Strengthens Unity Through Joint Iftar Program at Two Campus Mosques

EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Mosque Prosperity Council (Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid/DKM) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta is organizing a communal iftar program for students and educational staff during Ramadan 1447 Hijri. The program is centered at Masjid Manbaul ‘Ulum and Masjid Al Fikri as part of efforts to strengthen unity and promote religious values within the campus community.

The activities will run for 15 days, with faculties and administrative units participating on a rotating basis. In addition to iftar (breaking of the fast), the DKM is also organizing religious lectures, congregational Tarawih prayers, and short religious sermons (kultum) following the Dhuhr prayer.

The Chair of DKM UPNVJ, Suprima, M.Pd.I., explained that the iftar program provides light refreshments (ta’jil) and evening meals for approximately 100 congregants at Masjid Manbaul ‘Ulum, Pondok Labu Campus, and 50 congregants at Masjid Al Fikri, Limo Campus. The program is intended for students, lecturers, educational staff, and members of the surrounding community.

“This program is conducted to foster a sense of togetherness and warmth in observing the fast, particularly within the UPNVJ campus environment. Ramadan serves as a meaningful occasion to strengthen bonds and reinforce the values of unity,” Suprima stated.

On Monday, 23 February 2026, the Faculty of Medicine was scheduled to host the communal iftar. The rotational involvement of faculties and work units is expected to encourage active participation and cultivate a spirit of mutual cooperation among members of the academic community.

The iftar schedule has been established as follows: Thursday, 19 February 2026 – Faculty of Law; Friday, 20 February 2026 – Faculty of Computer Science; Monday, 23 February 2026 – Faculty of Medicine; Tuesday, 24 February 2026 – Faculty of Social and Political Sciences; Wednesday, 25 February 2026 – Faculty of Economics and Business; Thursday, 26 February 2026 – Faculty of Health Sciences; Friday, 27 February 2026 – Faculty of Engineering; Monday, 2 March 2026 – Bureau of Planning, Finance, and General Affairs; Tuesday, 3 March 2026 – Bureau of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Cooperation; Wednesday, 4 March 2026 – Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development; Thursday, 5 March 2026 – Institute for Research and Community Service; Friday, 6 March 2026 – Technical Implementation Units (UPT); Monday, 9 March 2026 – Rector; Tuesday, 10 March 2026 – Vice Rectors; and Wednesday, 11 March 2026 – DKM in collaboration with Student Activity Units.

Through the Ramadan 1447 H program, Suprima further expressed hope that these well-structured and participatory religious activities will serve as a space for reflection, social solidarity, and the strengthening of collective integrity within the campus community.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
