EduAsiaNews, Jember – Universitas Jember has admitted 3,367 new students through the 2026 Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP). These students were selected from a total of 13,755 applicants from across Indonesia who applied to UNEJ, representing 33 percent of the total planned intake for the 2026 academic year.
All students admitted via SNBP are required to complete re-registration. Students accepted through SNBP are not eligible to register through the SNBT or Independent Selection pathways. Detailed registration guidelines are available on the UNEJ official website, unej.ac.id.
“Take advantage of this golden opportunity to study at a public university through the SNBP pathway by completing registration promptly. Please read and understand the requirements carefully to ensure a smooth registration process,” advised Prof. Slamin, Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, during an interview at the Tegalboto campus on March 31, 2026.
UNEJ also provides financial support for high-achieving students from underprivileged families through the Indonesia Smart Card–Higher Education program (KIP-K) via the SNBP pathway. This year, 5,847 SNBP applicants registered at UNEJ under the KIP-K scheme, of which 1,447 students were accepted. With this number, UNEJ ranks seventh among Indonesian public universities in admitting the most new students under the SNBP KIP-K program.
“Furthermore, SNBP applicants selected as potential KIP-K recipients will undergo a verification process to determine their eligibility,” Prof. Slamin added.
Students who were not admitted through SNBP still have the opportunity to apply through the 2026 Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), which remains open until April 7, 2026. Prof. Slamin encouraged those who were not accepted through SNBP to register as soon as possible.
“If students have registered for SNBT, they should focus on preparing academically. Competition in SNBT is tougher because the number of SNBT participants is typically higher than SNBP applicants, as graduates from both 2024 and 2025 are eligible to participate,” he explained.
The SNBT computer-based test (UTBK) is scheduled to take place from April 21–30, 2026. At UNEJ’s UTBK center, 955 computer units have been prepared, capable of serving approximately 19,100 participants during the testing period.
