Universitas Jember (UNEJ) officially concluded its 2026 New Student Campus Life Orientation Program (PKKMB) with a lively PKKMB UNEJ 2026 Inauguration at the UNEJ Stadium on Saturday (August 15, 2026).
Thousands of new UNEJ students, known as Aruna 2026, from the Jember, Bondowoso, Lumajang, and Pasuruan campuses came together to celebrate the completion of the orientation program.
The event began in the morning with a spectacular mass paper-mob choreography involving all Aruna students on the UNEJ Stadium field. The activity was followed by a healthy walk through the green surroundings of the UNEJ Jember campus, accompanied by a series of door-prize drawings.
The highlight of the inauguration was an entertainment program featuring a lineup of guest stars and performers, including Dudy Oris, former vocalist of Yovie & Nuno, as well as the music groups Sisi Kitaa and The Tendos Band. The program also featured cultural performances and creative showcases by representatives of various faculties at UNEJ. The event was formally brought to a close by the Rector of Universitas Jember and the university leadership.
The Rector of Universitas Jember said the PKKMB inauguration was not merely a ceremonial entertainment event, but also a platform to demonstrate solidarity, strengthen integration among UNEJ campuses, and establish an early foundation for new students to embark on an academic journey that values collaboration and adaptability.
Through the event, Aruna students from both the main campus and regional campuses in Bondowoso, Lumajang, and Pasuruan were expected to strengthen their sense of unity and prepare themselves for their university journey with integrity, creativity, and achievement.
The excitement among the Aruna students intensified when Dudy Oris was announced as one of the main performers. For Hammam Nashirudin, a student of the Soil Science Study Program at UNEJ’s Faculty of Agriculture, the performance by the former Yovie & Nuno vocalist was one of the most anticipated moments of the entire PKKMB program.
Hammam said he was highly enthusiastic about seeing Dudy Oris perform. He and his friend, Ahmad Tsaqif Maulana Fauzan, an International Relations student at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, were even willing to wait for an extended period to see the singer take the stage.
“I was really excited to wait for him. I even ended up sitting on the grass,” Hammam said.
Dudy Oris’s performance left a lasting impression on Hammam. One of his favorite songs was “Aku yang Jatuh Cinta,” which he said helped new students unwind and enjoy the inauguration after a packed series of PKKMB activities.
The singer’s appearance brought a surge of excitement to the closing event. The Aruna students became visibly more enthusiastic as Dudy Oris took the stage.
“Honestly, the atmosphere really came alive when Dudy Oris arrived. Many people even moved closer to the stage to watch him,” Hammam added.
Despite the intense heat, the new students continued singing along throughout the performance. Hammam said “Sampai Akhir Waktu Nanti” and “Manusia Biasa” were among the songs that most energized the crowd.
The voices of Aruna students could be heard throughout the UNEJ Stadium, demonstrating that the inauguration was more than an entertainment event. It also became a moment of togetherness for new students from different faculties and regional campuses.
The collective singing became one of the most memorable moments of this year’s inauguration. Dudy Oris’s songs brought the stadium to life, with Aruna students from different faculties enjoying the performance and singing together until the end.
“We were very happy that Universitas Jember brought Dudy Oris this year. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance and have a great time singing together,” Hammam said.
Dudy Oris’s appearance ultimately served not only as entertainment for the new students but also as a catalyst for strengthening their sense of community at the culmination of PKKMB UNEJ 2026. The moment is expected to become one of the memories they carry as they begin their journey as members of the UNEJ community.
The festivities also marked the conclusion of the PKKMB UNEJ 2026 series. Having completed various campus orientation activities, the new students now embark on a new chapter as members of the Universitas Jember community. The spirit fostered during the inauguration is expected to carry over into their academic journey as they pursue achievements, broaden their experiences, and take an active role in campus life and society.
