EduAsiaNews, Banjarmasin – Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) hosted Rocket Entrepreneur’s Day Rocket YABN 2026, an initiative aimed at fostering an innovative and competitive generation of young entrepreneurs by strengthening students’ entrepreneurial skills. The event also served as the graduation and awarding ceremony for participants of the Rocket Entrepreneur by YABN program, which brought together 24 business brands.
Organized by the Yayasan Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN) in collaboration with the Yayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS) and Sandination Academy, the event was held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Lecture Theater, General Building, ULM Banjarmasin.
The event provided participants with an opportunity to further develop their entrepreneurial ideas and potential through a series of activities, including a product showcase, business pitching, sharing sessions, as well as an awards presentation for participants who successfully completed the program.
Executive Director of Yayasan Indonesia Setara, Erna Usman, expressed her appreciation for ULM’s support in bringing the program to its graduation and awards stage. She said the collaboration had demonstrated tangible results, particularly through the products showcased by the participants.
“We have demonstrated that our collaboration has created a tangible impact. We have seen the products showcased by the participants,” she said.
A total of 24 business brands, comprising active students and alumni from ULM and other higher education institutions in South Kalimantan, participated in the event. The showcase provided participants with an opportunity to introduce their products while expanding their networks and exploring new opportunities for business development.
Sandiaga Uno, Founder of Yayasan Indonesia Setara and Sandination Academy, also contributed to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem through the Rocket Incubation by YABN 2026 program. His involvement was aimed at providing motivation, practical insights, and capacity building for students and alumni who are developing their businesses.
Sandiaga Uno also attended the Rocket Entrepreneur’s Day Rocket YABN 2026 at ULM. Accompanied by ULM Rector Prof. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., he toured the exhibition area to view the business products developed by the participants.
As an entrepreneur, Sandiaga also delivered a business-sharing session for ULM students following the awarding ceremony of the Rocket Incubation by YABN 2026 program. His presence, along with that of ULM leadership, was expected to inspire participants to continue developing innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and business initiatives that create meaningful social impact.
Through the event, collaboration among higher education institutions, entrepreneurship development organizations, and young entrepreneurs is expected to further strengthen the student and alumni entrepreneurship ecosystem at ULM, while creating greater opportunities for innovation and sustainable business development.
