The performance of the Tridharma continues to strengthen, with Diponegoro University (UNDIP) ranking among the top five in the SINTA 2026 rankings.

EduAsiaNews, Semarang – Diponegoro University (UNDIP) has once again achieved a commendable milestone by securing 5th place among universities in Indonesia in the 2026 Science and Technology Index (SINTA) ranking, managed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

This year, UNDIP attained a score of 1,016,085, placing it alongside the top-tier universities in the country. This achievement serves as a strong indicator of UNDIP’s consistency in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education, which encompasses education, research, and community service.

SINTA is a national indexing system used to measure the academic performance of higher education institutions through various indicators, including the productivity of scientific publications, the quality and quantity of accredited journals, as well as tridharma-related activities carried out by the academic community.

The Rector of Diponegoro University stated that this accomplishment is the result of the collective efforts of the entire UNDIP academic community. “Achieving a top-five position in the SINTA 2026 ranking is tangible evidence of the shared commitment and collaborative work of all academic members in strengthening tridharma performance. UNDIP will continue to enhance the quality of research and innovation that deliver meaningful impact to society,” the Rector remarked.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector IV for Research, Innovation, Cooperation, and Public Communication emphasized that this achievement reflects the strengthening of the research ecosystem within UNDIP.

“SINTA measures not only the quantity of publications but also the quality of the research ecosystem and the institution’s contribution to the advancement of knowledge. Our strategies in strengthening research, downstreaming innovation, and fostering collaboration have yielded positive results,” he stated.

The significant increase in score reflects continuously growing academic productivity. The points achieved by UNDIP indicate notable improvements in publication productivity, journal quality, and tridharma activities. This progress is the result of synergy among lecturers, researchers, and an increasingly robust support system.

Moving forward, UNDIP will continue to promote the enhancement of reputable scientific publications, strengthen internal journals, and expand research collaborations at both national and international levels.
