EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Electrical Engineering Study Program continues to demonstrate significant growth despite being relatively young. Established on December 18, 2018, the program is currently coordinated by Luh Krisnawati, S.T., M.T., and has obtained a “Good” accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). At present, the program is preparing to further enhance its quality in pursuit of achieving “Excellent” accreditation.
In an interview with the UPNVJ Public Relations Team, Luh Krisnawati explained that one of the main strengths of the Electrical Engineering program lies in the implementation of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum. This curriculum is designed to align with industry needs and is supported by competent teaching staff as well as adequate laboratory facilities. These elements ensure that the learning process is conducted in accordance with established standards.
“Although the program is still relatively young, we have already implemented an OBE-based curriculum and provided facilities that optimally support the learning process,” she stated.
The Electrical Engineering Study Program also offers three main areas of specialization, namely electric power, electronics and control, and telecommunications and information technology. These specializations are designed to support graduate profiles that not only produce professional engineers, but also individuals capable of becoming entrepreneurs and pursuing careers as academics or researchers.
Luh Krisnawati, S.T., M.T., Coordinator of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, explained the strengths and career prospects of Electrical Engineering graduates to the UPNVJ Public Relations Team.
The career prospects for graduates are also extensive. In addition to opportunities in the energy and electricity sectors, UPNVJ Electrical Engineering graduates can pursue careers in various industries, including renewable energy fields such as solar power as well as the information technology sector. A number of graduates have already been employed in various companies in positions aligned with their expertise.
In order to remain aligned with technological developments, the program consistently updates its laboratory facilities and revises its curriculum annually. These efforts are made to ensure that graduates remain competitive and relevant to the demands of the job market.
For prospective new students, Luh Krisnawati emphasized the program’s commitment to continuous development and to providing the best possible learning experience. She also invited the younger generation to join and explore various future technologies.
“Please join the Electrical Engineering program. Here, we will learn extensively about Industry 4.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which are among our main focuses. Many of our students have already produced innovative products related to these fields,” she concluded.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
