EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Interest among prospective students in UPN Veteran Jakarta continues to demonstrate a positive trend in 2026. This is reflected in the increase in the number of applicants through the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP) pathway, which has risen significantly compared to the previous year.
Based on compiled data, the number of SNBP applicants to UPNVJ in 2026 exceeded 22,000 participants. This figure represents an increase of approximately 12 percent compared to 2025, when 19,437 applicants were recorded. The growth indicates rising public confidence in the quality of education offered by UPNVJ.
In a presentation delivered during the Leadership Meeting, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Henry Binsar H. Sitorus, stated that total interest in SNBP 2026 reached 22,274 applicants, marking an increase of 2,837 participants compared to the previous year. This surge serves as a strong indicator of UPNVJ’s growing competitiveness and reputation at the national level.
The increase in applications is inseparable from the university’s various strategic initiatives, including strengthening academic quality, improving study program accreditation, and developing a more transparent and adaptive new student admissions system.
In addition, UPNVJ continues to broaden access to higher education through multiple admission pathways, including the Computer-Based National Selection (SNBT), Independent Selection (SEMA), and the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program. This diversification of admission routes provides wider opportunities for prospective students from diverse backgrounds to enroll.
The high level of applicant interest further reflects UPNVJ’s strengthening position as one of Indonesia’s competitive and highly sought-after public universities.
With this positive trend, UPNVJ remains optimistic about further enhancing the quality of incoming students while reinforcing its contribution to the development of outstanding human resources.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
