EduAsiaNews, South Tangerang – Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School, located adjacent to the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta campus on Ir. Juanda Street, East Ciputat, South Tangerang.
This asset recovery constitutes a follow-up to the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree No. 1543 of 2025, which mandates the integration of educational units managed by foundations into the Public Service Agency (BLU) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. This integration encompasses institutional, financial, asset, and human resource aspects, while ensuring the protection of employees’ rights and welfare. The initiative aims to improve the quality of education through strengthened management under the BLU framework of UIN Jakarta.
The safeguarding of the state asset, namely the school buildings of Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School, was carried out recently.
“This action was not taken abruptly; several meetings had been attempted beforehand, but the foundation did not demonstrate good faith in implementing the ministerial decree,” stated Ishar Helmi, Head of the Center for Public Relations Services and Legal Aid, in an official release quoted on Wednesday (March 18, 2026).
Ishar explained that since the decree was issued, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has continuously sought to implement it within the framework of integrating educational institutions under the university.
“The safeguarding of state assets in the form of Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School is one of the strategic steps in the integration of educational institutions as mandated by the Minister of Religious Affairs,” he added.
He further emphasized that the process of securing the Triguna Utama school buildings would not disrupt ongoing teaching and learning activities.
In addition to the school buildings situated on approximately 3,000 square meters of land, UIN Jakarta has previously secured several other Triguna-related assets, including land in MURI Salim, Reni Jaya, and the Cogreg area.
It is known that UIN Jakarta is currently undergoing the integration of three educational institutions under the BLU of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. These institutions are Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School, Madrasah Pembangunan (MI, MTs, MA), and Ketilang Kindergarten. All three institutions were established by UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The total value of the secured state assets is estimated to reach hundreds of billions of rupiah.
The history of Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School under UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta dates back to 1997. At that time, the Triguna Foundation was established based on Ministerial Decree No. 56 of 1997, appointing the Rector of UIN (then IAIN) as the administrator of the former YPMII school. In 1998, based on a notarial deed by Notary Toety, the Rector of IAIN at the time was appointed as the supervisor.
In 2017, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta won a legal dispute against Nurdin Idris using BLU funds amounting to billions of rupiah. In the same year, the building of Triguna Utama Senior High School and Vocational High School was returned to UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as evidence.
