EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The implementation of the Computer-Based Written Examination for the National Selection Based on Tests (UTBK-SNBT) 2026 at the UTBK Center of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) was not only a significant moment for the participants, but also for the parents who provided their full support. On the day of the examination, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, a number of parents were seen accompanying their children from early morning within the UPNVJ campus area. This support formed part of the family’s effort to strengthen the participants’ mental readiness before undertaking the university entrance examination.

One such account was shared by Yuli, the parent of Alia, a student of SMAN 94 Jakarta who took the UTBK at UPNVJ. When met in the courtyard of the UPNVJ Rectorate Building, Yuli explained that her child’s preparation had been carried out long before the examination day.

“My child has been attending a tutoring program. The goal is, hopefully, to be accepted into a public university,” said Yuli.

According to Yuli, the family provided full support so that Alia could take the examination with greater composure. She noted that the atmosphere leading up to the exam had been quite tense for her child, as UTBK represents an important stage in determining higher education choices.

“Since last night, she has not slept due to panic and stress,” she revealed.

Nevertheless, the family continued to provide assistance to ensure that Alia could arrive on time and be better prepared to face the examination. Yuli added that the journey to the test location was somewhat challenging due to the considerable distance and mild traffic congestion.

“It is quite far, and there was some traffic, but thankfully we did not get lost as we were already familiar with the location,” Yuli explained.

At the end of her remarks, Yuli expressed her hope that her child would achieve the best possible results and be admitted to a public university. She also mentioned UPNVJ as one of the universities included in the selection process.

“Our hope is that my child will be accepted into a public university, wherever that may be. There are several university choices, and one of them is UPNVJ. We leave it in God’s hands, bismillahirrahmanirrahim,” she concluded.

Yuli’s story illustrates that the implementation of UTBK-SNBT is not only related to the academic readiness of participants, but also to the emotional support provided by their families. The presence of parents at the examination site reflects the significant role families play in supporting participants as they navigate the selection process toward higher education.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
