EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has informed students of the extension of the registration period for the Phase II 2026 Jakarta Excellent Student Card (KJMU) program. The extension follows an official announcement by the Center for Personal and Operational Education Funding Services (P4OP) of the Jakarta Education Agency regarding the extended registration period for students.
Under the latest schedule, student self-registration is open from Sept. 30 to Oct. 11, 2026, through p4op.jakarta.go.id/kjmu. Following the registration stage, universities will conduct verification from Sept. 30 to Oct. 15, 2026. Verification by the Jakarta Education Agency will take place from Oct. 16 to 21, followed by the determination of recipients through a Governor’s Decree from Oct. 22 to 29. Fund disbursement is scheduled for Oct. 30, 2026.
The extension provides an opportunity for eligible students to complete the required registration process. For new applicants, the eligibility criteria include having a National Identity Number (NIK) as a resident of Jakarta, having lived in Jakarta for at least five consecutive years, subject to certain exceptions, and having graduated from a secondary education institution within the past three years.
Applicants must also have passed the selection process or been admitted to a D3, D4 or S1 program through the regular admission track at an eligible higher education institution. Applications must be submitted no later than the fourth semester. In addition, students must meet the required Semester Grade Point Average (GPA), with a minimum of 2.75 for students at public universities and 3.00 for students at private universities for two consecutive semesters, except for first-semester students and/or students with disabilities.
In the process of identifying new applicants, socioeconomic ranking is based on the deciles of the National Single Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN), starting from the lowest decile and moving to higher deciles in line with the region’s financial capacity. Verification also takes into account region-specific variables among family members listed on the same Family Card, including car ownership, a Tax Object Sales Value (NJOP) exceeding Rp1 billion, and civil servant status.
Meanwhile, continuing recipients enrolled in D3 and S1 programs must remain registered at an eligible higher education institution and meet the minimum Semester GPA requirement. For professional programs, applicants must, among other requirements, have a National Identity Number (NIK) as a resident of Jakarta, have previously received KJMU support at the D4 or S1 level, and meet the requirements for the professional program and prescribed academic performance.
