EduAsiaNews, Jakarta — The Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) conducted an Internal Quality Audit (AMI) of its Undergraduate Medical Program on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The activity took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room at the Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Building and involved the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine leadership and the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Medical Program. The AMI was conducted as part of efforts to ensure quality and strengthen the quality of medical education at the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine.

Dean of the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Taufiq Fredrik Pasiak, M.Kes., M.Pd.I., M.H., CIPA, officially opened the Internal Quality Audit of the Undergraduate Medical Program in the Dean’s Meeting Room at the Wahidin Sudiro Husodo Building on Wednesday (August 26, 2026).

The AMI involved two auditors: Rita Ismail, S.Kp., M.K.M., MTD (HE), Ph.D., as Auditor 1, and Dr. Fathinah Ranggauni Hardy, S.K.M., M.Epid., as Auditor 2. The participation of the auditors was an important part of the internal evaluation process aimed at obtaining an objective assessment of the implementation of academic standards and governance within the Undergraduate Medical Program.

The activity began with remarks and an official opening by Dean of the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Taufiq Fredrik Pasiak, M.Kes., M.Pd.I., M.H., CIPA. The opening marked the commencement of the audit process involving the faculty leadership and the management of the Undergraduate Medical Program.

The AMI is an important instrument within the internal quality assurance system of higher education institutions. Through the audit process, study programs can systematically evaluate the implementation of academic activities and governance while identifying areas that need to be maintained or further developed.

For the Undergraduate Medical Program, the implementation of the AMI serves as an opportunity to ensure that the delivery of education complies with established standards. The process also provides the study program with valuable feedback from the auditors as a basis for evaluation and continuous improvement.

The implementation of the AMI at the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine is in line with the faculty’s efforts to foster a sustainable culture of quality. In previous AMI activities, the faculty has also positioned internal audits as part of its evaluation of study program management and efforts to strengthen educational quality.

The activity is expected to go beyond an administrative review and become part of a continuous quality improvement cycle that encourages the study program to consistently improve its educational processes, governance, and academic services. Accordingly, the AMI findings can serve as a foundation for more focused and sustainable study program development.

Through the implementation of the Internal Quality Audit, the UPNVJ Faculty of Medicine reaffirms its commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of medical education. A systematic evaluation process is expected to further strengthen the governance of the Undergraduate Medical Program and support the delivery of high-quality, adaptive medical education oriented toward the needs of society.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
