EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik UPNVJ, FISIP) of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) has strengthened institutional governance and accountability through the signing of the 2026 Derived Performance Agreement (Perjanjian Kinerja/Turunan PK) held on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at the FISIP UPNVJ Auditorium. The event involved all faculty leadership and management as a strategic step to align unit performance targets with the university’s overall policy direction.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of FISIP, Vice Deans, Heads and Secretaries of Departments, Program Coordinators, and Laboratory Heads. The activity is part of reinforcing a structured and integrated performance management system, ensuring that every leadership element has clear responsibility in achieving the faculty’s strategic objectives.
The implementation of the derived PK represents a concrete translation of the university’s Performance Agreement into the operational plans of the faculty and its subunits. Through this mechanism, key performance indicators are detailed specifically according to each unit’s function, allowing programs to be monitored and evaluated regularly.
In his remarks, the Dean of FISIP UPNVJ emphasized that the Performance Agreement is not merely an administrative document but a tool for oversight and strengthening a professional work culture. “The Performance Agreement serves as a common guideline to ensure all programs proceed according to target. This commitment fosters synergy, consistency, and accountability across every level of faculty management,” he stated.
He added that strengthening governance is a fundamental prerequisite for improving academic quality, research productivity, and community service contributions. With a measurable performance system, the faculty can systematically identify achievements, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
FISIP’s initiative aligns with the policy of the Rector of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, who emphasizes the importance of a performance culture based on Key Performance Indicators (IKU) in building a superior and globally competitive university. According to him, consistency between planning, implementation, and evaluation forms the foundation of transparent and results-oriented governance.
Through the signing of the 2026 Performance Agreement, FISIP UPNVJ affirms its readiness to implement accountable and sustainable performance-based management. Synergy among all leadership elements is expected to enhance institutional performance, strengthen academic reputation, and contribute meaningfully to the development of social and political sciences at both the national and international levels.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
