EduAsiaNews, Bandung – Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) welcomed President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Dr. Prihati Pujowaskito, Sp.JP(K), FIHA, M.M.R.S., and her delegation for a discussion and exchange of ideas on efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia.
The delegation was received by Unpad Rector Prof. Arief Sjamsulaksan Kartasasmita, together with members of the university leadership, at the Livin’ Room, Unpad Rectorate Building, Jatinangor Campus, on Saturday (August 22).
The meeting served as a forum for Unpad and BPJS Kesehatan to discuss various challenges in healthcare delivery while exploring opportunities for Unpad’s academic expertise to contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services for the public.
In his remarks, the Rector expressed his appreciation for the visit by the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan and her delegation. He expressed hope that the meeting would provide an opportunity for Unpad to contribute through its diverse academic disciplines.
“We would like to thank the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan for taking the time to discuss and exchange ideas with Unpad. We hope that the various academic disciplines at Unpad can contribute to addressing challenges related to healthcare services in Indonesia,” the Rector said.
On the occasion, the President Director of BPJS Kesehatan also visited Unpad Hospital. The Rector said the visit provided an opportunity to exchange information on the development of Unpad Hospital, as well as various aspects of healthcare services that could be further developed in the future.
“We would also like to express our appreciation to the President Director for taking the time today to visit our hospital, which we continue to develop. Hopefully, the discussions we have held and what we have observed together today will provide meaningful benefits,” he said.
During the discussion, Unpad and BPJS Kesehatan exchanged views on various issues and challenges in healthcare delivery. Academic perspectives from Unpad’s diverse fields of expertise were brought together with BPJS Kesehatan’s practical experience in providing healthcare services to the public.
Prihati expressed hope that the discussion and visit would generate ideas and recommendations that could be followed up to support the development of both Unpad and BPJS Kesehatan, while delivering tangible benefits for strengthening healthcare services in Indonesia.
“We greatly appreciate the opportunity to engage in discussions with Unpad. There are many things we can learn and discuss together, particularly how the academic expertise available at Unpad can provide insights into addressing various challenges in healthcare services in the future. We hope this meeting will not end with discussions alone, but will generate tangible benefits and become part of our joint efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services for the public,” Prihati said.
