Pattimura University Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Agency for Language Development and Fostering

EduAsiaNews, Maluku – Pattimura University and the Agency for Language Development and Fostering have signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on synergies in programs for the development, advancement, and protection of Indonesian and regional languages and literature in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The signing took place at the Agency for Language Development and Fostering Building, Jl. Daksinapati Barat 4 No. 11, Rawamangun, Pulo Gadung District, East Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta 13220, on Monday (September 14, 2026).

The PKS was signed directly by Rector of Pattimura University Prof. Dr. Fredy Leiwakabessy, M.Pd., and Head of the Agency for Language Development and Fostering Hafidz Muksin, S.Sos., M.Si. The occasion marked a strategic step toward building institutional collaboration to strengthen the standing of the Indonesian language while preserving the diversity of regional languages and literature as an important part of the nation’s cultural heritage.

The cooperation covers several strategic areas, including improving literacy skills, promoting the status and use of the Indonesian language, preserving regional languages and literature, promoting the internationalization of the Indonesian language, and implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The partnership also represents a concrete manifestation of Pattimura University’s commitment to continuously expanding its network of strategic partnerships with various institutions to support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and realize the university’s vision of becoming an excellent and distinguished institution on its path toward becoming a World-Class University.
