EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) has strengthened its strategic partnership with PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and the handover of vehicles at the UPNVJ Rectorate Lobby, Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, on Friday (September 11, 2026). The continued collaboration provides several benefits to the university, including one medium bus, one ambulance, a Lab Shar’e facility worth Rp150 million, and activity sponsorship support amounting to Rp100 million. The event was held from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB) and was attended by UPNVJ leaders and executives of Bank Muamalat Indonesia.
UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, M.A., Comm., expressed his appreciation for the trust and commitment that Bank Muamalat has continued to extend to UPNVJ. According to him, the partnership goes beyond the signing of documents and is directed toward delivering tangible benefits to improve university services and institutional performance.
Venus emphasized that the implementation of the partnership must continue to be grounded in good governance, with transparency, accountability, professionalism, and integrity as key principles. All forms of collaboration must also provide clear benefits to the university while maintaining a sustainable institutional relationship between the two organizations.
“We hope that what we are doing today will not merely result in a cooperation document, but will generate tangible benefits, sustainable collaboration, and an increasingly significant contribution to the advancement of UPN ‘Veteran’ Jakarta,” the Rector emphasized during the event.
This partnership builds on the collaboration between UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat initiated in 2025. Based on the activity documents, previous support included two Innova Zenix vehicles, scholarships, and sponsorship funding. The institutional relationship between the two organizations has also been directed toward the development of education, research, and community service. This is in line with the cooperation between UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat previously formalized through a memorandum of understanding in October 2025.
At Friday morning’s event, Bank Muamalat was led directly by its President Director, Imam Teguh Saptono. Also in attendance were Regional Head of Jakarta West Agung Bayu Sulistiyono, Branch Manager of Bank Muamalat’s Cinere Branch Yuhyi Hayati, Branch Manager of the Bintaro Cluster Dedy Sukmana, as well as representatives from Bank Muamalat’s Regional Funding and Relationship Management teams.
Representing UPNVJ were university leaders from various institutions and bureaus, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Head of the Internal Audit Unit, the Vice Dean for Cooperation of the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Head of the Sharia Economics Study Program, as well as representatives of the university’s administrative and financial management teams. The participation of various university units underscored that the partnership extends beyond facility support and has the potential to broaden institutional and academic synergies.
The medium bus and ambulance received by UPNVJ are expected to support university mobility and services. Meanwhile, the Rp150 million Lab Shar’e support and Rp100 million in activity sponsorship form part of efforts to deliver broader benefits for the development of UPNVJ’s academic and institutional activities.
The partnership with Bank Muamalat also continues a relationship that has been developed since 2025. Previously, UPNVJ and Bank Muamalat had explored scholarship support and the strengthening of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. A meeting between Prof. Dr. Anter Venus and Imam Teguh Saptono in July 2025, among other matters, discussed opportunities for educational scholarships and the development of programs that would benefit students.
For UPNVJ, the trust extended by its partners represents an important component in strengthening institutional transformation.
