EduAsiaNews, Cambodia – [Unsoed.ac.id, Friday, August 28, 2026] — Nur Wijayanti, S.TP., M.P., Head of the Business Incubator Center at the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed), has been appointed by Indonesia’s Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to represent Indonesia at the international ASEAN-China Women Entrepreneurs Exchange. The forum was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, from August 18–20, 2026.
Under the theme “Addressing Challenges and Advancing Leadership in MSME Development,” the forum brought together delegates from ASEAN countries and representatives from China to exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices in MSME development, particularly in strengthening women’s roles and leadership in entrepreneurship.
As Head of the Business Incubator Center at LPPM Unsoed and a lecturer in the Food Technology Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Nur’s participation provided an opportunity to share her experience in MSME development through business incubation, mentoring, innovation, and collaboration among universities, government institutions, businesses, and other stakeholders.
“I am very pleased and honored to have been entrusted by the Ministry of MSMEs of the Republic of Indonesia to represent Indonesia. This opportunity is not only about representing Indonesia, but also about learning, sharing experiences, and building networks with MSME entrepreneurs and advocates from ASEAN countries and China,” Nur Wijayanti said.
During the forum, Nur participated in discussions and experience-sharing sessions on MSME challenges, business development strategies, capacity building for women entrepreneurs, and the sustainability of MSME empowerment programs.
She emphasized that MSME empowerment programs should be designed sustainably and should go beyond training alone. MSME actors also need continuous access to business networks, markets, financing, innovation, technology, business legality, and mentoring.
This approach is consistent with the role of the Business Incubator Center at LPPM Unsoed in supporting MSMEs throughout various stages of business incubation, including capacity building, business model development, business legalization, product innovation, marketing, networking, and market access.
“I hope that the knowledge and experience gained from this forum can be brought back and applied in Indonesia, thereby strengthening MSME mentoring and incubation programs,” she added.
Nur also expressed hope that the forum would create opportunities for international collaboration in MSME development. She highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences on digitalization, innovation, market access, product development, human resource development, and women’s empowerment to enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs amid global challenges.
Nur Wijayanti’s participation further expands the international network of the LPPM Unsoed Business Incubator Center while strengthening the university’s contribution to promoting MSME independence, innovation, competitiveness, and women’s leadership in the sector.
