
EduAsiaNews, Viet Nam – University of Economics (UD-DUE) held a working session and signed a cooperation agreement with Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd. of China, focusing on strengthening collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and the application of emerging technologies to support university management and enhance the quality of education and training.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice President of UD-DUE, the cooperation marks a new milestone in the University’s efforts to expand partnerships with international enterprises. The collaboration aims not only to develop an ecosystem connecting education, research, and the application of emerging technologies, but also to create an environment that enables lecturers and students to strengthen their digital competencies and apply AI in academic and professional settings.
Mr. Qiu Hong, International Business Director of Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd., expressed his appreciation for UD-DUE’s role and reputation and conveyed the company’s commitment to establishing a long-term partnership with the University. The cooperation is expected to provide lecturers and students with opportunities to gain practical experience with emerging technologies through hands-on projects, while enabling the company to develop a pool of young talent and promote innovation in collaboration with the University.
Under the cooperation agreement, the two parties agreed to focus on several key areas, including the joint implementation of AI human resource development programs; the application of AI in developing smart classrooms and digital spaces, as well as creating AI application scenarios at the University; the transfer and commercialization of research outcomes and AI applications across various disciplines and sectors; and training programs to enhance students’ digital competencies.
The two sides will also explore opportunities for market development and establish sustainable development pathways spanning education and practical training to industrial development.
A key component of the cooperation is the joint study and promotion of the establishment of a Joint Laboratory for AI Applications, which is expected to serve as a foundation for strengthening university–industry collaboration in line with the shared strategic priorities of both parties.
On the occasion, UD-DUE and Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd. also jointly organized a Workshop on AI Applications for Students, featuring presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions delivered by international speakers and experts in AI and emerging technologies in the context of globalization.
