EduAsiaNews, Jember – A total of 800 graduates from various levels of education were officially conferred during the ceremony. They came from doctoral, master’s, undergraduate, and diploma programs and are now joining the ranks of UNEJ alumni ready to begin their professional journeys and contribute to society.
The graduation ceremony marked the completion of the graduates’ academic journey. At the same time, it signified the beginning of a new chapter, bringing different challenges as they enter society and the workforce.
UNEJ Rector Ir. Iwan Taruna, M.Eng., IPM., ASEAN Eng., urged all graduates to make integrity a fundamental asset as they enter the professional world. According to Iwan Taruna, this is consistent with the mission of higher education, which extends beyond providing knowledge and technological skills to instilling honesty, humanitarian values, and critical-thinking abilities in students.
The Rector further noted that today’s graduates are entering the workforce at a challenging time, as the employment landscape is undergoing significant changes. Advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), are increasingly taking over entry-level tasks that have traditionally served as gateways for new graduates, including routine administration, general services, and basic analysis.
Therefore, UNEJ graduates are encouraged to continue building and maintaining integrity and trust, sound decision-making abilities, and good judgment.
“However, all of this takes time and requires a process. Therefore, do not lose hope if you have not become wealthy by the age of 28, as portrayed on social media,” Iwan Taruna said, drawing laughter from the audience.
The graduation ceremony also recognized graduates who achieved outstanding academic performance across various levels of education.
At the doctoral level, Dr. Dimas Imaniar, S.Sos., M.Si., from the Public Administration Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, achieved the highest academic performance. He completed his studies with a GPA of 3.94 in 2 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

At the undergraduate level, Rizky Adi Putra, S.Pd., from the Economic Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, was among the graduates with outstanding academic achievement. He completed his undergraduate studies with a GPA of 3.98 in 3 years, 7 months, and 19 days.
At the diploma level, the highest achievement was attained by Cinta Mazaya Quincy Affandi, A.Md., from the Taxation Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, with a GPA of 3.94, completing her studies in 2 years, 9 months, and 3 days.
The Second Graduation Ceremony of the 2026/2027 Academic Year marked the arrival of a new generation of UNEJ graduates. Equipped with the knowledge, experience, and values gained throughout their studies, the graduates are expected to take active roles across various fields and contribute meaningfully to society.
For the graduates, the day was about more than wearing academic gowns and receiving their degrees. More importantly, graduation marked the completion of their journey at Universitas Jember, while a new journey of learning, growing, and contributing to society was just beginning.
