
EduAsiaNews, Riau — Universitas Riau (Unri) held its 64th Graduate Program, 58th Professional Program, 127th Undergraduate Program, and 68th Diploma Program graduation ceremony for the August 2026 period. The ceremony was held over two days, August 19–20, 2026, at the Universitas Riau Student Center Building. A total of 1,971 graduates took part in the ceremony, marking the completion of their academic journey and the beginning of a new chapter in their professional careers and service to society.
Rector of Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Sri Indarti, S.E., M.Si., expressed her appreciation to all graduates for their hard work, perseverance, and dedication throughout their studies. According to her, graduation is not the end of the learning process, but rather the beginning of applying the knowledge and competencies acquired during their time at the university.
“Today, you are not only receiving academic degrees, but also carrying the responsibility to apply your knowledge, uphold integrity, and make meaningful contributions to society. Be graduates who are able to adapt, continue learning, and provide solutions amid the changing times,” said the Unri Rector.
Furthermore, the Rector encouraged the graduates to uphold the good name of their alma mater wherever they go. The academic values, character, ethics, and spirit of service acquired during their education at Unri are expected to serve as important foundations in facing challenges in the workplace and in society.
The August 2026 graduation ceremony also served as an important occasion for Unri to reaffirm its commitment to producing outstanding, ethical, and globally competitive human resources. The graduates are expected to play strategic roles in regional, national, and global development.
Concluding her remarks, the Unri Rector encouraged all graduates to never stop learning and to carry the spirit of their alma mater throughout every stage of their lives.
“Congratulations to all graduates. Continue moving forward with confidence, uphold integrity, and make the knowledge you have acquired a means of creating meaningful benefits. Carry the good name of Universitas Riau wherever you go and become individuals who make your alma mater, families, and nation proud,” the Rector concluded.
