
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) participated in the National Seminar titled Innovative and Impactful Universities for Advanced Indonesia 2045, organized by the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
The event, held at the Gedung Guru Indonesia in Central Jakarta, was attended by the Head of the Institute for Quality Development and Learning Development (LPMPP), Satria Yudhia W., S.E., M.S. Ak.; the Head of the Academic Division, Oki Putra Budiarahman, S.H.; and the Head of the UPNVJ Public Relations Working Team, Dr. Firdaus Noor, M.I.Kom., M.Sn. The seminar served as a strategic forum for higher education institutions to strengthen the role of universities in creating tangible impacts for society while supporting the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045.
A total of 163 participants from 80 invited universities attended the event. The presence of representatives from various higher education institutions reflected the importance of cross-institutional collaboration in responding to changing times and strengthening the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
The national seminar also featured the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Dr. Fauzan, M.Pd., as the keynote speaker. During the forum, education stakeholders, academics, and practitioners were encouraged to formulate concrete measures to transform campuses into spaces that are safe, adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive.
The seminar highlighted that higher education institutions should not merely adapt to change, but also move toward reflective and transformative learning. Universities are encouraged to prepare outstanding human resources equipped with strong character, academic competence, critical and creative thinking skills, social-emotional abilities, and life skills in preparation for 2045.
In today’s modern era, strengthening human skills, transferable skills, technological literacy, as well as reskilling and upskilling capabilities has become increasingly important in responding to the dynamics of the future workforce. Universities are expected to produce graduates who not only master scientific knowledge but are also capable of creating new value, solving complex problems, collaborating effectively, and taking responsibility for social change.
UPNVJ’s participation in this national seminar reflects the university’s commitment to continuously strengthening the quality of educational governance, academic development, and the institutional role in supporting impactful higher education transformation.
