
EduAsiaNews, Bandung – Universitas Padjadjaran has established a strategic partnership to strengthen academic collaboration at its Vocational School with Foshan Polytechnic through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony was held at the Livin Joint Meeting Room, Unpad Rectorate Building, Jatinangor, on Monday, 19 May 2026.
The MoU was signed by the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Arief S. Kartasasmita, and the Rector of Foshan Polytechnic, Huang Jianguang, and was witnessed by Unpad Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Zahrotur Rusyda Hinduan, Dean of the Unpad Vocational School Dr. Kurniawan Saefulllah, S.E., M.Ec., along with other leaders from both Unpad and Foshan Polytechnic.
In his remarks, the Rector of Unpad warmly welcomed the collaboration in the fields of education, student exchange, lecturer exchange, and research between the Unpad Vocational School and Foshan Polytechnic. He expressed hope that this collaboration would enhance the quality of education in manufacturing and industrial sectors in the future.
“The Vocational School is one of our faculties with a large number of students. We are certainly pleased and proud that our Vocational School, together with several other faculties, has the opportunity to establish cooperation in education, student exchange, lecturer exchange, as well as research collaboration. We recognize that China is a highly advanced country, particularly in manufacturing and industry. Therefore, we greatly look forward to this collaboration and hope it can be implemented in the near future,” said the Rector.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Foshan Polytechnic, Huang Jianguang, stated that the meeting was expected not only to deepen the cooperation between the two institutions, but also to serve as an opportunity to learn from each other’s experiences and contribute to the development of specialized and targeted human resources.
“We hope to jointly advance the development of shared curricula and resources in the fields of smart manufacturing and green energy. Let us work hand in hand to explore new pathways for collaborative development and cultivate more highly qualified human resources oriented toward future industries with an international perspective,” he explained.
