EduAsiaNews, Lampung – Agita Azara, a high-achieving student from the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Lampung (Unila), has achieved a remarkable accomplishment in the prestigious Puteri Indonesia 2026 pageant. Representing Lampung Province, she successfully captured attention by securing a place in the Top 3 Best Traditional Costume category.

In her appearance, she impressed the judges and audience with a costume titled “Sang Bunga Senja dari Tanah Lampung” (The Twilight Flower of Lampung Land), an artistic creation by Condro Dewi Art rich in cultural meaning.

The costume is inspired by the Bunga Pukul Empat (Four O’Clock Flower), a distinctive local flora that has long been recognized as a natural identity of Lampung Province. This simple flower has a unique characteristic of blooming in the late afternoon, making it a natural symbol of time for the local community—serving as a reminder of when it is time to return home and gather with family.

Beyond being a stage outfit, the design presents a profound narrative of time and loyalty. The figure portrayed represents a Lampung girl who firmly upholds traditions and ancestral values, much like the Bunga Pukul Empat that faithfully blooms every day without fail.

Through this costume, Lampung not only showcases visual beauty but also conveys a life philosophy that is simple yet meaningful—about the relationship between humans, nature, time, and a culture that continues to thrive across generations.

Its striking visual uniqueness and deep philosophical meaning successfully captivated the judges, placing Lampung alongside the representatives of Banten and South Sumatra in the top three positions.

This achievement adds to Agita’s growing list of accomplishments. Before stepping onto the Puteri Indonesia stage, the 18-year-old had already been recognized for several achievements, including serving as a national Paskibraka member in 2023, representing Lampung at the State Palace.

Other notable accomplishments include being crowned Muli Tulang Bawang 2024, a regional ambassador actively promoting local wisdom, and Digital Tourism Ambassador of Indonesia 2025, focusing on the integration of technology and tourism.

With her success in reaching the Top 10 finalists and earning a special award in the costume category, Agita Nazara demonstrates that the combination of academic excellence (as a future medical doctor) and cultural appreciation can create an exemplary representation for Lampung Province. [Inay]
