EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – The Communication Studies Program at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ), reaffirms its commitment to producing outstanding and globally competitive graduates through the strengthening of academic quality, human resources, and industry-based facilities. This commitment was conveyed by the Coordinator of the Communication Studies Program, Uljanatunnisa, S.Sos., M.A., during an interview on Wednesday (March 25) at FISIP UPNVJ. The program has achieved an “Excellent” accreditation from LAMSPAK in 2026 and international accreditation from FIBAA in 2023, reflecting recognition of its educational quality at both national and global levels.

The Communication Studies Program at UPNVJ envisions producing graduates who are excellent, competent, innovative, and grounded in the values of national defense, specializing in advertising, public relations, journalism, and media, with a target of achieving competitiveness at the Asian level by 2030. This vision is realized through the development of an adaptive curriculum aligned with the needs of the communication industry, as well as the integration of theoretical and practical learning.

In terms of academic quality, the achievement of both “Excellent” and international accreditations serves as a key indicator of the program’s consistency in maintaining high standards. These recognitions position the Communication Studies Program at UPNVJ as not only meeting national benchmarks but also being capable of competing globally.

This quality is supported by highly competent human resources. Currently, 55.8 percent of lecturers hold doctoral degrees, 81.3 percent possess national teaching certifications, and 79 percent have professional competency certifications. This composition strengthens the learning process, ensuring its relevance to the dynamic developments within the communication industry.

Furthermore, learning is enhanced through industry-based practical laboratory facilities, including television, radio, photography, big data, multimedia, cinematography, and podcast laboratories. These facilities are designed to improve students’ skills in content production, communication data analysis, and mastery of digital technologies.

The program’s consistency in maintaining quality has made the Communication Studies Program one of the most sought-after study programs at UPNVJ in 2026. The high level of interest from prospective students reflects public trust in the quality of education offered.

Graduates of the Communication Studies Program at UPNVJ have broad career prospects, ranging from communication officers and communication strategists in marketing, to careers in journalism, advertising, public relations, and development communication. Graduates are also equipped with competencies as communication analysts capable of managing and analyzing communication processes based on data and digital platforms.

The Coordinator of the Communication Studies Program, Uljanatunnisa, emphasized that the combination of academic excellence, professional teaching staff, and modern facilities constitutes the program’s main strengths. “The Communication Studies Program at UPN Veteran Jakarta is the right choice for prospective students who wish to develop their potential and build careers in the global communication industry,” she stated.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
