EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta presented the readiness for the launch of the Physiotherapy Professional Program to the evaluation team of LLDIKTI Region III on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, in Jakarta. This presentation was part of the evaluation process to ensure academic readiness, human resources, infrastructure, and program governance before operational approval is granted.
The event was attended by university leadership, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, the proposal drafting team, and representatives from related faculties. In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs emphasized that establishing the Physiotherapy Professional Program is a strategic step to strengthen the professional pipeline of Physiotherapy graduates, ensuring they meet national competency standards and are authorized to practice in accordance with health service regulations.
“This professional program is essential so that graduates are not only academically competent but also ready to practice professionally according to healthcare standards,” he stated.
Nationally, the demand for professional physiotherapists continues to rise due to trends in non-communicable diseases, injury cases from accidents, and the growth of the elderly population. UPNVJ sees this professional program as a means to expand public access to quality rehabilitation services, particularly in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas.
The proposal team presented a curriculum based on Graduate Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan, CPL), aligned with the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (KKNI) and standards of the Indonesian Association of Physiotherapy Educational Institutions. The learning model is designed around integrated clinical practice through partnerships with hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, and affiliated healthcare facilities.
In terms of facilities, UPNVJ has prepared physiotherapy laboratories, therapy gyms, and hydrotherapy facilities to support professional practice learning. These facilities reflect the institution’s commitment to ensuring high-quality, practice-based education and patient safety.
The LLDIKTI Region III evaluation team provided strategic recommendations, including strengthening practical training cooperation documents, ensuring appropriate lecturer-to-student ratios, and developing a five-year program roadmap. UPNVJ reaffirmed its commitment to implementing all recommendations in a measured and timely manner as part of accountable governance principles.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
