EduAsiaNews, Aceh — The delegation team from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) has arrived at Universitas Samudra (UNSAM) as the initial coordination point for the Humanitarian Community Service Program (KKN) in Aceh Tamiang Regency, on Tuesday (January 3, 2026). The group, consisting of students from the Faculty of Engineering along with four supervising lecturers from various faculties (Engineering, Social and Political Sciences, Law, and Health Sciences), immediately joined students from three other universities: 5 students from UNSAM, 115 students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), and 900 students from Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (Untirta).

This Humanitarian KKN program will run until February 17, 2026, and represents an inter-university collaboration aimed at making a tangible contribution to the people of Aceh Tamiang, particularly in post-disaster recovery efforts and in strengthening community resilience.

One of the field supervising lecturers, Dr. Damora Rhakasywi, S.T., M.T. (Lecturer of the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, UPNVJ), stated that all UPNVJ students had arrived safely and were fully prepared. “Thank God, the UPNVJ students participating in the Humanitarian KKN collaboration have arrived safely in Aceh. As supervising lecturers, we will continue to accompany and support the students throughout the program, both in the implementation of work programs and in the process of adapting to field conditions,” he said.

With a total of more than 1,020 students from four universities, this program is expected to produce integrated community service activities, ranging from post-disaster recovery, education, and health initiatives to the development of simple infrastructure tailored to the needs of the local community.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
