
EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) once again demonstrated its commitment as a State Defense Campus (Kampus Bela Negara) through the implementation of a Humanitarian Community Service Program (KKN Kemanusiaan) in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province. This program represents UPNVJ’s tangible dedication to community service, particularly in areas requiring social assistance, educational support, and community empowerment.
The activity commenced with the official send-off ceremony for the Humanitarian KKN students, led by the university leadership at the UPNVJ campus on Monday, 2 February 2026.
The send-off served as a form of institutional support for the students who will be carrying out community service activities. In their remarks, the UPNVJ leadership emphasized the importance of maintaining the university’s good reputation, upholding the values of state defense, and demonstrating adaptability and meaningful contributions while engaging with the community of Aceh Tamiang.
“This is UPNVJ’s third program of deploying humanitarian volunteers to the Sumatra region. Through the Humanitarian KKN, students are expected to apply their academic knowledge, build collaboration with local communities, and deliver solutions that are beneficial and sustainable,” the leadership stated.
The Humanitarian KKN program involves 25 students from various faculties who will be assigned to several villages in Aceh Tamiang. During the program, students will implement a range of initiatives focusing on education, health, environmental sustainability, social development, and community economic empowerment.
This program is expected to generate positive impacts while strengthening cooperation between UPNVJ and the local government in supporting community development.
