
EduAsiaNews,Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the inauguration of its Vice Deans for the 2026–2030 period on Thursday (January 23, 2026). The event took place at the FISIP ULM Lecture Theater in Banjarmasin, as part of efforts to strengthen faculty governance and leadership in supporting the university’s performance targets.
The inauguration was led by Dr. Irwansyah, S.Sos., M.Si., Dean of FISIP ULM, based on the Rector’s Decree No. 005/UN.KP/2026. The appointed officials are: Muhammad Hasanur Arifin, S.Sos., M.M. as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mahyuni, S.Sos., M.A.P. as Vice Dean II for General and Financial Affairs, and Dr. Nasruddin, S.Pd., M.Sc. as Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Alumni.
In his remarks, Dean Dr. Irwansyah expressed appreciation for the presence of university leaders and congratulated the newly inaugurated Vice Deans. He emphasized that the responsibilities ahead require commitment, synergy, and collective work to face the increasingly complex challenges in higher education.
“Congratulations on carrying this mandate and on your service. The challenges in higher education today are greater than ever, especially after our joint participation in the university’s follow-up planning meetings, which established connectors and bridges for achieving ULM’s Key Performance Indicators,” he said.
The Dean also highlighted the importance of support from the entire academic community in enhancing quality, particularly regarding program accreditation. Of the seven study programs under FISIP ULM, two have achieved “Excellent” accreditation, while the others are rated “Very Good,” which will be the focus of further improvement.
“This is both a challenge and an opportunity for all of us. Let us together restore FISIP ULM’s excellence through strong collaboration and commitment,” he added.
Through this inauguration, Lambung Mangkurat University reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening faculty-level leadership, as part of a broader university strategy to improve academic quality, institutional governance, and the sustainable achievement of its Key Performance Indicators.
