EduAsiaNews, Jakarta – Hundreds of senior high school and vocational school students, accompanied by their parents, crowded the booth of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) during the Study and Career Expo 2026 held at Sekolah Prestasi Prima, Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Monday, January 19, 2026. The event attracted more than 800 participants eager to map out their study options and consider their future educational paths.
UPNVJ used the forum to present an overview of the university while opening a consultation booth that provided information on academic programs, admission pathways, and campus life. From early in the day, the UPNVJ booth was busy with visitors, reflecting the strong curiosity of prospective students about the state university.
During the presentation session, students listened attentively and actively raised questions. The enthusiasm was evident in the spontaneous responses of participants, particularly those who already had specific academic interests. The interaction went beyond passive listening, turning into an open and engaging dialogue.
Nahdya, a Broadcasting student from SMK Prestasi Prima, said she was drawn to the media field and has set her sights on UPNVJ as a study destination. “I really want to study Film, Television, and Media Studies at UPNVJ. My first impression of the UPNVJ booth was really exciting. I got detailed information about the program I’m interested in, plus some merchandise,” she said.
A similar sentiment was shared by Raisa, Nahdya’s classmate, who is interested in pursuing a degree in Communication Studies. She welcomed UPNVJ’s presence at the event, saying it helped clarify her plans for higher education. “I’m happy UPNVJ is here because I’ve wanted to study there from the start. From the explanation today, I can see there’s a real opportunity for me,” she explained.
UPNVJ’s participation in the Study and Career Expo 2026 forms part of the university’s broader effort to connect more closely with prospective students. Through a direct and interactive approach, UPNVJ aims to ensure that information about higher education goes beyond brochures, becoming an experience that helps students gain confidence in choosing their future field of study.(www.upnvj.ac.id)
