This achievement was made possible through the guidance of Dr. Wulan Purnama Sari, S.I.Kom., M.Si., a lecturer at Fikom Untar who also serves as Secretary of the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Tarumanagara University.
Dr. Wulan expressed her appreciation for the academic achievement of the three students. According to her, this accomplishment is particularly meaningful as the competition represented the students’ first research experience.
“Of course, I feel very proud. I believe this experience will serve as a valuable learning opportunity, as they were able to meet and build networks with students from various countries,” she stated.
Furthermore, Dr. Wulan hopes that this achievement will motivate other Fikom Untar students to actively participate in international academic events.
“I hope that in the future, more students from Fikom and Tarumanagara University as a whole will have the courage to try and take part in international competitions,” she added.
One of the award recipients, Claribel Halim, shared that the preparation process for the competition involved various challenges. “During the preparation, we faced challenges because the presentation was conducted entirely in English. We held many team discussions and actively sought feedback from our lecturers to ensure that our preparation was optimal,” she explained.
Claribel also expressed her pride in the achievement attained together with her team. “We are very happy and proud to be able to compete with other international participants and successfully reach this stage,” she said.
In closing, Claribel delivered a motivational message to students, particularly those from Fikom Untar. “Do not wait until you feel ready. Believe in yourself, and in the end, you will be able to do it,” she remarked.
This achievement underscores Fikom Untar’s commitment to encouraging students to actively engage in international academic activities and to develop research, communication, and global networking competencies as part of experiential learning.
