Edu Asia New,The arrival of Team 2 at the location was warmly welcomed by the local community, especially residents who wanted to have their health checked following the disaster but had not yet had the opportunity or faced difficulties visiting the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) directly. Community members ranging from infants to the elderly came to receive health services, sharing the health complaints they were currently experiencing.

The UPNVJ health team, consisting of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, conducted structured examinations, including general physical assessments, blood pressure measurements, and tests for glucose, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. For toddlers and children, physical examinations included measurements of body weight and height. Team 2 of PKM UPNVJ also provided wound care to community members in need. Subsequently, medications were administered according to each patient’s individual needs.

During the mobile clinic activities, a total of 42 patients received physical examinations, consultations, and medical treatment.

Through this initiative, Team 2 of the UPNVJ Disaster Emergency Response PKM continues to demonstrate its commitment to being directly present in the community, providing accessible healthcare services, and supporting the health recovery process of disaster-affected residents in North Aceh.

Dr. Ns. Arief Wahyudi Jadmiko, Chair of the Disaster Emergency Response PKM Team (Sumatra), stated, “This activity represents the commitment of the UPNVJ Disaster Emergency Response PKM Team, in collaboration with the Directorate of Research and Community Service under the Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, to be directly present among communities in need, particularly in improving public health welfare in the post-disaster period.”(www.upnvj.ac.id)
