
Edu Asia New,IPB University continues to hold its position as a green campus according to the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking (UIGM WUR) 2025. Globally, IPB University is ranked among the top 33 out of 1,745 universities across 105 countries.
In this year’s ranking, IPB University achieved a total score of 8,950 out of a maximum of 10,000 points. The official national-level announcement of UIGM WUR 2025 was held on Tuesday, 16 December, at Diponegoro University, Semarang. Based on the results, IPB University secured the 5th position among the most sustainable universities in Indonesia.
IPB University has participated in the UIGM WUR since 2010. The ranking system evaluates universities’ commitment to sustainability across six key aspects: Setting Infrastructure (SI), Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, and Education and Research.
In 2025, IPB University recorded improvements in three main indicators. The Climate Change indicator increased from 1,550 to 1,625 points, the Waste indicator rose by 150 points to 1,725 points, and the Water indicator increased by 37.5 points to 987.5 points compared to the previous year. These improvements reflect IPB University’s consistency in strengthening campus environmental policies and practices.
IPB University Rector, Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet, emphasized that this achievement is part of the institution’s long-term commitment.
“With this result, IPB University demonstrates its commitment to continuously maintain and enhance environmental sustainability in the development of a green campus. These efforts align with IPB’s target to become a global sustainable university and its vision to be an Innopreneur University by 2045,” stated Dr. Alim.
