EduNewsAsia, Jakarta – Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ) has once again recorded a proud achievement by earning the Informative designation at the 2025 Public Information Disclosure Awards, organized by the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia (KIP RI).
The award ceremony was held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the Birawa Assembly Hall, Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta. UPNVJ Rector Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm, attended in person to receive the award, accompanied by Dr. Firdaus Noor, Head of the Public Relations, Integrated Services, and Public Information Task Team, as well as Bambang Suryoprayogo, S.I.Kom, a member of the Integrated Services Unit.
The Informative status achieved by UPNVJ resulted from the verification process of the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), which was declared successful based on KIP RI Decree No. 06/KEP/KIP/VIII/2025. This achievement reflects the collective hard work of all information and service management units at UPNVJ. The university earned the Informative designation after obtaining a total score of 97.75, a combined result of the SAQ verification and the Public Test. This score placed UPNVJ 8th among 54 state universities classified as Informative.
Prof. Venus stated that public information disclosure at UPNVJ is not merely implemented to meet standards set by the Central Information Commission, but rather as part of the institution’s commitment to applying good university governance principles. According to him, information openness is a crucial prerequisite for accountable and transparent institutional management.
“For us, becoming an informative institution is a necessity. Providing open access to public information regarding university policies and management is part of the service principles we uphold,” said the Rector.
Prof. Venus emphasized that the completion of the SAQ was based on factual conditions and real practices already implemented within UPNVJ. He also expressed appreciation for the public relations and integrated services units as the frontline of this effort. “All managers have worked optimally to realize UPNVJ as an informative higher education institution,” added Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, MA, Comm.
The 2025 Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Disclosure and the Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) involved 387 public bodies across various categories, including 48 ministries, 46 state institutions and non-ministerial government agencies, and 35 non-structural institutions. The process also included 38 provincial governments, 63 state-owned enterprises, 149 state and religious higher education institutions, and 8 political parties.
This achievement further strengthens UPNVJ’s vision as a state-defense-oriented campus that is transparent and responsive. From the Rector’s perspective, the Informative designation is a logical consequence of sustained policies to build an integrated information system, enhance public trust, and support the realization of high-quality higher education governance.
